Jorge D. Carballo Morales
Master's student (Fall 2023-Present)
Jorge is a Costa Rican biologist who graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, where he earned degrees in Tropical Biology and Natural Resource Management. His research is focused on bat ecology and evolution, with a keen interest in identifying conservation implications. He enjoys working and learning about phylogenetic and geographic data manipulation. During his spare time, Jorge likes running, biking, and painting watercolors.

Robert (Rob) Soucy
Undergraduate student
Rob is fascinated by the history and diversity of life on earth, with a lifelong passion for evolution and paleontology. Outside of work, Rob likes reading, cooking, and playing a variety of tabletop and video games. His research is focused in the macroevolution of Proboscideans using a large database of fossil specimens.
